MAC Look in a Box: Girl Next Door
What would you do if I told you lot that MAC put a look in a box? Would you want to set it free?
Before you answer that, what if I also told you that the neutrals in this particular box don't bite? No, they're much too sweet for biting. As a matter of fact, the shades in the MAC Look in a Box: Girl Adjacent Door kit ($forty) are sugar and spice and everything prissy (i.e. charming), like the kind of makeup you'd wear to encounter a new beau's mom for the outset time.
The express edition 2011 travel exclusive boxed set, one of three from the MAC Packed to Go Collection, comes with five products, a few of them full-size items from the MAC permanent line, and a couple of difficult-to-find limited edition shades from previous releases.
- (two) Eyeshadows in Yard Entrance and Smoke & Diamonds: Remember these two from 2009's Dearest That Look? Well, the names are the same, but MAC changed the finish. When they came out with Love That Look, they sported the limited edition Starflash finish, merely these accept the MAC Frost terminate instead. Frankly, I like both finishes and think the differences betwixt them are subtle. Color-wise, nonetheless, I think the new colors are a shade lighter than the originals.
- Irised Power in Belightful: This sheer and shimmery peachy gold highlighting powder had its coming out party back in 2008 with the fabulous MAC Fafi Drove. This version's the spitting prototype, as well, correct down to the big chunks of golden glitter.
- Zoom Lash in Zoomblack: Like "Drag Queen Lashes Lite," or the mascara a diva would wear to Sun service, what we have here is a repromote from the MAC permanent line. It subtly thickens while it lengthens to have lashes up a notch or two.
- Cremesheen Glass in Deelight: This flossy neutral rosy pink feels polish and non-sticky on my lips, and if you find yourself falling in lurve, it's also bachelor now on the MAC website.

I really this set, but I wish it was easier to rail down. As a travel exclusive, it mostly hangs out at select airports and duty free stores.
I guess that's (part of) the beauty of these the travel exclusives — the thrill of the chase. 🙂
PRICE: virtually $xl

MAKEUP AND BEAUTY BLOG RATING: A+
Was your Monday manic or mellow?
Mine was fairly mellow. The relentless rain started to get me downwards, but dinner with El Hub cheered me upward. It was zippo fancy, just this Italian identify at the mall… I was craving pasta somethin' fierce, perhaps because I watched Godfather Two concluding dark for the billionth fourth dimension, and I'one thousand PMS-ing (you know how information technology is).
The third one you can have, but I never go tired of the first ii…
I hope your week got off to a bang-up start. What was the highlight of your day?
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
